Terms of Service

These terms apply to the View Rendered Source browser extension, View Rendered Source Pro, and viewrenderedsource.com (together, "the service"). The service is provided by Peg Leg Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17001723), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us").

If you use the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

The free extension

You can use the free features at no cost, for personal or commercial work. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

Pro subscriptions

• Pro is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. New subscriptions may start with a free trial.
• Payments are taken by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. Polar's terms also apply to your purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Each licence covers one browser. Don't share licence keys outside the seats you bought.
• We may change prices. We will tell you before a change affects your next renewal.

Refunds

Email [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund you in full. After that, we don't refund the unused part of a period. This doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Your content

• You own the Snapshots and notes you save. You give us permission to store, process and display them only so we can provide the service to you and to the people you share links with.
• You are responsible for what you save and share. Only save pages you are allowed to access and copy. Don't save or share pages that contain other people's personal data, passwords or confidential information unless you have the right to.
• Anyone with a share link can view what it shows. Keep links private if the content is private. Delete the Snapshot to turn off its share links.
• Snapshots stay until you delete them. We may set storage limits, and in exceptional cases we may remove data without notice.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, to share illegal, harmful or infringing content, to attack or overload our servers, or to get around licence checks. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Our responsibility to you

• We work hard to keep the service reliable, but it is provided "as is". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that saved data can never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, business or data.
• Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending the service

You can stop using the service and cancel Pro at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these terms. If we stop offering Pro, we will give you reasonable notice and a pro-rata refund for any period you have paid for and not used.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell Pro users by email about important changes. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the laws of your own country.
